Kilconly GAA:
St. Conleth’s N.S is very strongly affiliated with the local Gaelic and Ladies Gaelic football club, Kilconly GAA. St. Conleth’s are extremely proud of some of our past pupils who played for the club’s Intermediate final this year. We really enjoyed cheering them on the day they came to visit our school! Our pupils have engaged in weekly sessions of Gaelic football lessons with coach Emer Greene arranged and partially funded by the club. All classes participated in these sessions. In the final term of school last year, our 3rd & 4th class pupils took part in a thoroughly enjoyable 9-a-side football blitz with local schools in Ballindine. Take a look at some pictures of the GAA sessions in action!

Tuam Rugby Club:
Our senior pupils were lucky enough to get an opportunity to develop their tag rugby skills with coach Sean Maughan in the first term of school. Take a look at some of the tag rugby sessions in action. We are also proud of some of our pupils who have received the opportunity to play at half time intervals at Connacht Rugby matches in the sportsground, Galway.
Kilshanvey Utd:
St. Conleth’s NS have been lucky to avail of slots in the local Kilshanvey Utd astro-turf pitch. The astro-turf is an ideal ground for practice sessions of GAA and soccer. As part of Active week, St. Conleth’s NS held the inaugural 7-a-side local schools soccer blitz in Kilshanvey Utd astro-turf pitch. It was a great success! Take a look at the skills in action!
We also have been fortunate to avail of access to the new walkway surrounding one of the pitches at Kilshanvey Utd. The pupils love clocking up lots of steps on their fit-bits too on Feel Good Friday with a lovely fifteen minute walk to the walkway/pitch and back!
Kilconly Community Recreational Group:
Our pupils are very fortunate to have access to the Small Wall arena which Kilconly Community Recreational Group received funding for and set up. All classes use this from time to time to practice their fundamental movement skills. Below are a few pictures of our pupils practicing such!
